Special Fast: On Sunday, July 5th, all are invited to participate in a unified fast to express gratitude for religious liberty and to pray that it be strengthened throughout the world.

Fifth Sunday Discussion: The Church has designated Sunday, 30 August 2026, as a global discussion day for youth. Youth, parents, leaders, and Primary children who will turn 12 in 2027 are invited to gather together in their wards and branches to watch the instructional videos provided by the Church and conclude with a local discussion. Adults not attending the youth meeting will participate in a fifth-Sunday lesson under the direction of local leaders. Younger Primary children will follow their normal schedule.
Fast Sunday Discussion: Sunday, 06 September 2026, will provide an opportunity for youth and adults to experience the updated Sunday class schedule. Youth and adults will attend Sunday School (25 minutes) and view two videos: “Sunday School” and “The Sabbath and Sacrament Meeting.” After the videos, they will discuss sections 1, 2, and 4 of the implementation guide. Adults will attend Relief Society or elders quorum meetings (25 minutes), view the video “Relief Society and Elders Quorums,” and then discuss section 5 of the implementation guide. Having discussed the changes the previous week, youth will begin using the new curriculum.
Primary will follow their normal schedule with Primary now lasting 55 minutes.

Temple Recommends: Please reach out to Dennis Machen at 385-685-8752 to schedule a time for a temple recommend interview with a counselor in the Bishopric. Note: The stake presidency conducts temple recommend interviews Tuesday nights from 6:00 to 6:45 PM at the Stake Center. Note: On Tuesday, June 30th there be one member of the Stake Presidency available for Temple Recommend Interviews. Please plan accordingly.

Healing the Savior's Way: General Addiction and Spouse & Family Support Meetings are held on Sundays at 5:30pm in the Seminary Building located
at 249 East 800 South in Heber City. These are held in separate rooms. Men's Pornography Addiction Meetings are held on Thursdays at 7:30 pm at 240 East 400 South in Heber City. General Addiction Meetings held on Thursdays at 7:00 pm at 100 W. Center St., Kamas.
Ward Directory Access: If you own a home/residence in our ward and visit from time-to-time, we would love to be able to get to know you better. Please contact Brother Smythe at 925-270-9364, he can help grant you access as an out-of-unit member. This will not transfer your primary records into our ward, but give you access to our directory.

Education Utah Initiative: The Utah Area Presidency has initiated a new Church Education program. Its purpose is to help members receive higher education. Specialists and Mentors have been called to help members enroll in institutions of higher learning, where they can receive certificates, degrees, or further skills that will bless their lives, both spiritually and temporally, while increasing their earning potential. Contact our ward mentors to discover all you can be through higher education! Receive one-on-one help with applications, scholarships and financial aid. Now's the time! Ward History Stories: For the first time (starting 2025) l ward members may read what is being sent to the church archives from our Homestead Ward and we will include reports from missionary newsletter plus edited contributions from ward members. This is part of the permanent church history archives and meant to be a record of our lives and how the Lords hand can be seen in our day.
